Production Control Assistant

This position provides administrative support to the Production Control Department in a variety of areas.
Review/analyze completed work orders and inventory transactions to ensure accurate labor balancing and inventory costing
Assist shop floor personnel in any necessary modifications to time cards/work order detail
Assist staff with automated timeclock (GUI) transactions and provide basic training, as needed
Audit inventory and reconcile bin status
- Use ERP Business Dashboards and other tools to stay apprised of scheduling conflicts, constraints or inventory shortages
Assist production management in coordinating/scheduling orders for shop floor
Assist with preparation of shipping materials for our trailer business unit including but not limited to:
Creating MSOs and VINs; tracking TINs and maintaining logs of transactions
Preparing shipping documents and user materials
Assisting with inventory/shipping transactions in ERP system
Verifying/reconciling shipments and freight charges
- Assist with some freight scheduling duties and communications
Work on special projects, as necessary
Improve quality results by evaluating processes; recommending changes
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
Knowledge, skills, and Abilities:
- Technologically savvy & quick learner when it comes to learning new system
- Strong written/verbal communication skills, great organizational abilities and calm under pressure; good attention to detail
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, and applicable billing software packages
- Must work well with others in a team environment
- Able to maintain data privacy and confidentiality
Credentials and Experience:
AAS degree in a business or computer related field preferred; a variable combination of education and work experience will be considered if such background is a good fit for this position. Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel. General understanding of Windows operating system or willingness to learn.
Work Schedule: Mon-Fri, 7a-3:30p
